The frequent washing shampoo with aloe vera by Ardes is made up of a series of very gentle active ingredients that cleanse the scalp and the lengths of the hair, without irritating the skin itself, preventing split ends.
Aloe vera (Aloe Barbadensis) is a plant of the Aloeaceae family, native to the northeastern coast of Africa. From the leaves of the plant, a very thick juice similar to a gel is extracted, which contains numerous active ingredients with truly beneficial properties, such as moisturizing and refreshing.
The multiple virtues of the plant have led popular tradition to define it over the centuries as "the plant of immortality" and "the queen of all remedies."
Aloe has a soothing and calming effect on irritated skin, furthermore
stimulates hair growth and slows down hair loss, strengthening the fine structures.
It gives freshness to the skin and purifies it from impurities.
Inside it, there are amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that help to deeply nourish skin and hair.
The name of the hawthorn comes from the Greek kràtaigos, and means: strength and robustness; in botany it is known as Crataegus monogyna, for its hard and solid wood, used as fuel. The plant appears as a spontaneous shrub – or small tree – that grows easily in wooded areas up to 1500 m. in altitude. The use of hawthorn in this preparation ensures a refreshing effect during washing.
Guar gum (also known as guar flour) is a powder obtained from the grinding of seeds contained in the pods of Cyamopsis tetragonolobus, a leguminous plant cultivated in Pakistan and India.
This gum, thanks to the polymers contained within it, which bond with water molecules, is able to absorb a significant amount of it. For this property, it is used in cosmetics as a thickener; specifically for this product, the gum during washing "captures" the water molecules, hydrating the hair and preventing the use of the hairdryer from excessively drying out the shaft. This ingredient in the shampoo increases combability and reduces the risk of hair breakage.
The acylglutamates, present in the three different formulations of the shampoo "Quality Without Compromise", have excellent dermatological properties and very low ocular irritation: they are considered hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.
Tests show that acylglutamates, unlike the most commonly used surfactants, hydrate the skin instead of drying it out, even after numerous consecutive washes.
Furthermore, acylglutamates, unlike the most commonly used surfactants, do not alter the natural pH of the skin, even after numerous consecutive washes. And finally, they act intelligently and selectively: that is, they wash the skin and hair more gently with the part of the sebum that is preferable to maintain (the lipids from epidermal cells) and more decisively remove the part of the sebum that is preferable to eliminate (the lipids from sebaceous glands that weigh down and grease the hair).
To complete the formulation of the shampoo, sodium PCA is included: this substance is naturally present in our body as a moisturizing agent. With aging, like hyaluronic acid, it tends to decrease. It has a structure that allows it to bind and retain water very well, making it an excellent moisturizer and an important anti-aging factor. Among the abilities attributed to it, there is its remarkable capacity to improve the epidermal absorption of other active ingredients present in various cosmetic products.
